Book Fair Picture

Come shop our book fair going on from Tuesday 11/12 through Monday 11/18.  Students will attend through their English classes or they can shop after school until 4:30 p.m.

Our office can not accept food delivered to a student from services such as UberEats, DoorDash, Pizza companies, etc.  You are welcome to bring food to the office yourself though. 


Don't wait to get your flu shot. GISD is hosting flu clinics at Shugart Elementary and other area clinics.  


Vaccines will be free to CHIP and Medicaid recipients and will cost $10 for children and $35 for adults without insurance. The clinics will accept private insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield, United, Cigna, or Aetna. 

There are multiple opportunities for families to get the flu vaccine at our district and area clinics:

You may also be able to get vaccinations through your personal health care provider.

Parents and prospective students are invited to learn more about their upcoming campuses and what it's like to attend. Families will be able to:

  • explore academics, course selection, college and career options, graduation requirements and more
  • learn about our Choice of School process and timeline
  • see our available programs at all levels, including magnet opportunities 
  • meet the students and staff of their campuses
