Library
Welcome to the Sewell library!
In our library, children have the freedom to choose books that interest and excite them, regardless of level or age. In our library, we read for fun and we read for the love of it! Students are guided to learn how to pick books that are right for them and to find texts that they really want to read.
Throughout the year, students will practice using online resources and databases to research effectively, efficiently, and safely.
The library is also home to makerspace/STEM activities which encourage exploration and collaborative work through hands-on, meaningful activities.
Everything we do in the library is intended to foster a love of learning in future-ready, engaged citizens.

Hi! My name is Sarah LeFan and I am so excited to be your new librarian! I have a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University (Whoop!) and my Master’s degree in Library Science from The University of North Texas. I have spent the last 8 years teaching K-2 and I can’t wait to step into my new role as a librarian. In my free time I love to crochet, read picture books and watch Texas A&M sports! |
Our 2022-2023 Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success!
