Back to school information
School hours & Calendar
The 2020 -21 calendar was revised by the Board of Trustees. School hours have changed to allow for 10 additional minutes of instructional time.
The new calendar features intersession weeks, which consist of special days where students have the opportunity to participate in remediation, acceleration or enrichment activities, similar to summer school offerings in previous years.
See our new school hours on the schedules page.
Back to school forms
Back to school forms for the 2020-21 school year are now available only online in skyward. Before the start of the school year, parents are asked to complete a series of forms to update student information for the new school year.
Order curbside meals for remote learners
Families will need to complete an order form every two weeks for each Garland ISD student who would like meal service. Meals will be charged to the student's account according to the the student's eligibility status and/or the eligibility designation of their home school (CEP, BIC, Universal- Free Breakfast). There must be sufficient funds in a student's meal account to cover the cost of meals.
See the curbside meals page for more information.
