Mrs. Allen brings 18 years of experience in Garland ISD, having served as a classroom teacher, interventionist, instructional coach, and campus administrator. She is passionate about building strong relationships, setting high expectations, and helping every student succeed.
Fun Fact: Ms. Allen is a proud FFA mom and Lakeview Centennial High School alum—once a Patriot, now a Titan!

Professional Bio
With twenty-four years of educational experience, Mr. Calderon has proudly served as a coach, mentor, and leader in roles ranging from Head Coach to Assistant Athletic Director, and now as Assistant Principal at South Garland High School in Garland ISD. His passion for building cultures of trust, inclusion, and excellence fuels his commitment to ensuring that every student and educator can thrive. This dedication is the cornerstone of Mr. Calderon's leadership and vision. Holding two master’s degrees and a bachelor’s in fitness and sports, Mr. Calderon is now pursuing a doctorate to tackle the challenges facing education and inspire lasting, positive change.

Mr. Mills joined our fabulous admin team two years ago. He's now starting his 21st year in education. Mr. Mills started at Lyles Middle School as social studies teacher.

Mrs. Hill started at South as the Special Education Department Chair in 2018. She returned two years later as an assistant principal and her favorite thing about South is the teachers that are committed to student success.
Fun fact: Mrs. Hill is a college basketball hall of famer from A&M Kingsville.

Dr. Leday is in his 3rd year as principal of South Garland. We are looking forward to another great year! Previously, Dr. Leday served as a teacher and math facilitator at Lakeview Centennial High School, an assistant principal at both Rowlett and South Garland High Schools, and most recently, four years as the principal of Watson Technology Center for Math & Science. Dr. Leday grew up in South Garland and his excitement for "being home" still stands.
Fun fact: Dr. Leday was a game show contestant and has a twin brother.
