Art fee Students must pay an art fee in order to take art classes. This is a district requirement and it is stated in the GISD Course Guide. The fee is $20.00 per semester per art class. The fee is used to help cover the cost of consumable art materials that are used by students throughout the semester. Cash and money orders are accepted. The fee should be paid promptly to ensure that students have the appropriate materials for class.

The South Garland Band program offers students the opportunity to perform with Titan Marching Band, Concert Bands, and Colorguard.

The Titan Marching Band performs at every football game. The Band is made up of Brass, Woodwind, Percussion and Colorguard members.

The South Garland Concert Bands are split into 3 groups: Honors, Symphonic and Concert. These groups are based on individual student ability level. 

Our award winning Colorguard performs with the Marching Band. Membership is based on audition. 

The SGHS band is a tightknit family that works hard, supports our school, and has fun!

SGHS offers a variety of choir courses. We hope you find one that fits you. Below are the courses offered.

Tenor/Bass Choir: Open to all beginning Tenor/Bass singers, grades 9-12, focusing on all genres of choral music. No audition required.

Treble Choir: Open to all beginning Treble singers, grades 9-12, focusing on all genres of choral music. No audition required.

Acappella Choir: An advanced large ensemble made up of Tenor/Bass and Treble voices focusing on all genres of choral music.  This ensemble is open to grades 9-12, by audition only.

Pop Ensemble: An advanced small ensemble (8-12 students) made up of Tenor/Bass and Treble voices, focusing mainly on pop and jazz repertoire.  This ensemble is open to grades 9-12, by audition only.  In order to participate in this ensemble, each student also needs to be enrolled in either Tenor/Bass Choir, Treble Choir, or Acappella Choir.

South Garland Theatre is committed to producing well rounded theatre artists. We believe that all theatre students should have an appreciation for performing as well as the technical side of theatre.

We produce a wide range of shows each year including American classics, contemporary dramas, Shakespeare, musicals, comedies, and more. Our students will have a wide range of experience when they graduate from our program, and will be prepared to enter any college program or the professional world.
