Principal, Krista McClure

Here is a message from our principal:

Greetings! I am proud to serve as the principal at Shorehaven Elementary. My Experience as an Assistant Principal, Instructional Support Teacher, Literacy Specialist in Garland ISD, 5th, 6th, and 4th grade teacher in Dallas ISD, 9th grade teacher in Longview ISD has led me to Shorehaven Elementary. I have a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Masters in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. I am passionate about education. I believe in meeting the needs of all students where they are and driving them forward towards success. As educators, we must foster independence and instill confidence in students to create life-long learners. When we build a solid foundation with a love for students in a safe environment all students will excel.

I am excited to be part of the Shorehaven community. I look forward to a great year.

Assistant Principal, Ashley Arias

Here is a message from our assistant principal:

My name is Ashley Arias, and I am honored to serve alongside Mrs. McClure as the assistant principal at Shorehaven Elementary.

During my time in education, I have worked in various settings within education, most recently at Weaver Elementary where I taught 5th grade and served as the campus Intervention Specialist for two years. One thing I know to be true in education: students have the best opportunity for success when home and school are united and work as a team. I am so excited to work with you in your children’s education. 

Thank you for allowing your children to be part of our school community. I speak for everyone at Shorehaven when I say that together we will ensure that all of our students' academic, emotional, and physical needs will be met.
