Principal's message: 

Hello, Shorehaven Eagles!

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I join the Shorehaven Elementary family as your principal. As I begin my 23rd year in Garland ISD, I am honored to become part of a community where students, families, and educators come together with a shared purpose—to inspire learning, nurture growth, and help every child soar.

Throughout my career, I have served as a Classroom Teacher, Assistant Principal, Early College and P-TECH Principal, and most recently, Principal of Caldwell Elementary. Each experience has strengthened my belief that every child has unique gifts and limitless potential. When students feel safe, supported, and valued, they develop the confidence to dream big, overcome challenges, and achieve extraordinary things.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education–English Language Arts from Sul Ross State University and my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce. My leadership is grounded in collaboration, servant leadership, and building meaningful relationships. I believe the strongest schools are built on trust, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Outside of school, my husband and I are proud parents of two teenage daughters, Alexandra and Cristina. As a family, we enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and cheering on our girls in all they do. These experiences remind me of the importance of connection, compassion, and celebrating every milestone.

I am excited to partner with our dedicated staff, engaged families, and supportive community to create a school where every Eagle feels seen, valued, and empowered to succeed. Together, we will cultivate a culture of excellence, inspire a love of learning, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to spread their wings and soar.

Assistant Principal, Andria Harris

Assistant Principal's message:

I am excited to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal of Shorehaven Elementary! As the proud mom of a 14-year-old son, Noah, I understand the importance of creating a school where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to succeed.

Originally from Arkansas, I have proudly called Texas home for the past eight years. With more than 15 years of experience in education, I have served as a lead teacher, instructional specialist, 504 and Testing Coordinator, and assistant principal. Each of these roles has strengthened my commitment to supporting student success and fostering a positive, welcoming school environment where students, families, and staff feel valued and empowered.

I hold degrees in Psychology, Middle Childhood Education, and Educational Leadership and am excited to bring my experience to Shorehaven Elementary. From the moment I visited the campus, I knew it was a special place, and I look forward to partnering with our families to help every student thrive.

My door is always open, and I can't wait to meet each of you.
