Busy Bees Studio
The Crochet Club is a creative and community-focused after-school club held on Thursday's from 3:50 p.m. to 4:20 p.m., led by our school counselor, Christine Adame. The club is open for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. The club’s mission is to:
- Create handmade gifts that offer heartwarming, emotional support;
- Connect with crochet enthusiasts and introduce the benefits of crocheting to others;
- Care about our community through service and education; and
- Collaborate with youth and community-based organizations.
Students in Crochet Club will learn basic to advanced crochet techniques while enjoying a fun, relaxing, and supportive environment. Members will work on individual and group projects, many of which will be donated to those in need, giving students the chance to see their creativity make a real difference.

Eagle Honor Choir

Eagle Honor Choir
The Eagle Honor Choir is a dynamic and dedicated after-school music club for 4th and 5th grade students at Shorehaven Elementary, led by our music teacher, Lesdy Duenez. This ensemble gives students the opportunity to develop their voices, grow as musicians, and share the joy of music with others.
Rehearsals are held Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., where members explore formal music techniques and a variety of musical styles. Throughout the year, the choir performs at school events and within the community, allowing students to showcase their hard work and talent.
Under Mrs. Duenez’s direction, the Eagle Honor Choir fosters confidence, teamwork, and creativity, creating a supportive space where students can express themselves and build lasting friendships.
No prior experience is needed—just a love for singing and a commitment to teamwork!

Eagle Art Club
Eagle Art Club is a vibrant and inspiring after-school art club for 4th and 5th grade students at Shorehaven Elementary, led by our talented art teacher, Xena Tanha. This club invites young artists to dive into a world of creativity, exploring a wide range of artistic techniques, materials, and styles beyond the traditional classroom experience.
Through hands-on projects, collaborative activities, and exposure to diverse artistic movements, students will enhance their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and self-expression.
As Eagle Art Club, members will experiment with exciting art forms such as painting, mixed media, and more, while having opportunities to showcase their artwork within the school and community. Under Ms. Tanha’s guidance, students are encouraged to take creative risks, develop their artistic voices, and build friendships with like-minded peers in a supportive and inspiring environment.
No prior experience is needed—just curiosity, imagination, and a love for creating!

Garland Police Youth Program
Garland Police Youth Program
The Garland Police Youth Program (GPYP) is a free after-school program for 4th and 5th grade students, sponsored by the Garland Police Department. The GPYP meets on Tuesday's from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Students in GPYP will:

Complete homework in a supportive environment

Receive a snack and drink
-
Play games and enjoy fun activities
-
Interact with Garland police officers in positive and engaging ways
At the end of each 9-week grading period, qualifying students are invited to a celebratory pizza party.
This program is 100% free for participants and provides an excellent opportunity for students to build relationships, develop responsibility, and connect with community role models.
