Every Day Counts at Shorehaven!

At Shorehaven, we know that when students are at school and on time, they have the best chance to learn, grow, and succeed. Even a few missed days can make it harder for children to stay on track with lessons, develop good habits, and feel connected to their classmates.

Why Attendance Matters:

  • Students who attend regularly do better academically and socially.

  • Each school day builds on the one before—missing one can mean missing important skills.

  • Good attendance sets the stage for future success in school and beyond.

State law requires all students ages 6–19 to attend school regularly, and we take this responsibility seriously. Teachers record attendance each day in Skyward between 9:45–10:15 a.m., and we’ll always reach out if absences or tardies start to impact your child’s learning.

To make attendance even more exciting, Shorehaven students can earn class incentives when they meet their attendance goals! These celebrations are a fun way to remind students that being at school every day helps them grow academically and socially.

Thank you, parents, for making attendance a priority. By ensuring your child is here on time each day, you’re giving them the gift of knowledge, friendships, and opportunities that only come with being present. Together, we can make this school year full of learning, achievement, and success!
