Visual Art

Art teacher, Xena Tanha

I am so glad to have the opportunity to teach art to the students of Shorehaven! We will learn the elements and principles of art  through a variety of methods and mediums, as well as art history from around the world and how art connects to our day to day lives.

My goal is to give students the space and support to express themselves through visual art, as well as teach them about the world and the different cultures within it.

Eagle Art Club

Eagle Art Club is a creative and inspiring after-school club designed exclusively for 4th and 5th-grade students at Shorehaven Elementary. This club provides young artists with an opportunity to explore a variety of artistic techniques, materials, and styles beyond the traditional classroom setting. Through hands-on projects, collaborative activities, and exposure to different artistic movements, students will develop their creativity, problem-solving skills, and self-expression.

As Eagle Art Club, members will engage in exciting art-making experiences such as painting, sculpture, mixed media, and more. They will also have opportunities to showcase their artwork within the school and community. This club fosters a supportive environment where students can experiment, take creative risks, and grow as artists while building friendships with like-minded peers.

No prior experience is necessary—just a passion for creativity and a willingness to explore the world of art!
