Back-to-School forms for the 2020-21 school year are now available only online in Skyward. Before the start of the school year, parents are asked to complete a series of forms to update student information for the new school year.

The Family and Community Engagement Department has created videos to help families with login and password assistance and language settings. News from your Sachse High School Counselors 

Students and Parents, 

We hope that you all are doing well, staying healthy, and adjusting to at home learning. We wanted to remind you that your Sachse High School counselors are here to support you in whatever way is needed--academically or emotionally. We have created Google Classrooms (don't worry it is not more work) as a place where you can easily find our contact information, office hours, and announcements. We will also be posting resources that we hope that you will find helpful.

Families will need to complete an order form every two weeks for each Garland ISD student who would like meal service. Meals will be charged to the student's account according to the student's eligibility status and/or the eligibility designation of their home school (CEP, BIC, Universal-Free Breakfast). There must be sufficient fund in a student's meal account to cover the cost of meals.

The 2020-21 Calendar was revised by the Board of Trustees on June 23. The first day of school is now Monday, Aug. 10, and school hours have changed to allow for 10 additional minutes of instructional time. Please look at our Virtual School Schedule for August 10 to September 7th on our Schedules Page of our school website.

The new calendar features intersession weeks, which consist of special days where students have the opportunity to participate in remediation, acceleration, or enrichment activities, similar to summer school offerings in previous years.

Tuesday, September 1^st (7am-8:15am, 11:15am-12:15pm, 5:30pm-7pm) 
Wednesday, September 2^nd (7am-8:15am, 5:30pm-7pm)
Thursday, September 3^rd (7am-8:15am, 11:15am-12:15pm, 5:30pm-7pm)
Friday, September 4^th (7am-8:15am, 11:15am-12:15pm)

We do not want to interfere with the virtual school day.

Details about how this drive thru pickup will work…

• This is a drive thru pickup and you will stay in your car the entire time.  
• Please enter through the front entrance of the school at the stoplight.  You will drive all the way around the school to the awning on the South Side of campus to receive your textbooks.  The actual awning is outside the high school musical staircase.
• Please place a sign on your dashboard with your student’s full name.

During the recorded parent meeting you will listen to updates on school events, understand how to find and navigate the GISD website for updates, resources for students, and Frequently Asked Questions. Principal Mr. Creel will also address questions from parents on various topics regarding our current situation.
