Dance classes are offered for Fine Art Credit towards graduation.  Dance history, etiquette, vocabulary and technique of hip hop, ballet, jazz, modern & choreography will be covered.  This is not a performance class, but performance opportunities may arise. Students are required to dress out daily.  Dance Uniform all black or navy workout attire.  No Class Fee.

World Dance Class at Sachse will cover several cultures but will focus on Dance and Pop Culture of Korea including history, etiquette, vocabulary and technique.   Auditions may take place for dance leaders and student officers. This is not a performance class, but performance opportunities will arise.  Students are required to dress out daily.  Dance Uniform all black or navy workout attire.  Required item: Mandatory Shirt the student leaders will design.

This is a Sign Up program each April. Tryouts are not required, but students must attend F2F information meeting, all 4 days of the Lariat dance workshop and submit payments on time in order to “sign up”.  Lariats perform at some JV football games, parades, one pep rally, competitions and the varsity Spring Show.  Approximately $600.

Swingsters perform at all varsity football games, community events, parades, pep rallies, competitions and Spring Show.  Swingsters is double-blocked A1 and B5 class periods. Tryouts are conducted in April of each year.  Tryout skills include double pirouette, jete’, press leap, calypso and splits.  The Cost for Swingsters is approximately $1700
