Sachse ShowStoppers Step Team perform at pep rally

What is Stepping?

Stepping is a dance that uses the body as an instrument. It combines footsteps, claps, synchronized movements and spoken words to produce complex rhythms, and it has roots in African dance and military marching.

As you learn how to step, remember to display confidence and trust not only in yourself but also in your step team.  Stepping requires teamwork, discipline and commitment.

Steppers typically use a hard wood stage with hard-soled shoes that send a sound into the atmosphere.

History:

Established in 2005, The Sachse Showstoppers have been breaking stages for nearly 15 years. The Showstoppers have been one of the most anticipated performances at pep rallies here at Sachse High School. The step team has performed at elementary and middle schools, basketball games, multicultural events, and community functions around the Sachse and Garland area.
