GISD Ready

Explore, Plan, and Act are the key components of the Garland ISD Ready! College. Career. Life program. There are many great links and lots of information to help guide you as you graduate from high school and plan for your life ahead. Whether you plan to go directly into the work force or go to college, the Ready website created by GISD can assist you in planning for your life after High School.

FAFSA should be completed as early as possible after October 1 of the senior year to maximize aid.  FAFSA information can be found at on their student aid website.

Step 1:  Create an FSAID (electronic signature) for both the student and parent

Step 2:  Complete the FAFSA

SHS counselors host a FAFSA Fun Night each Fall to help families complete the form.
