Principal
It is with immense pride and enthusiasm that I serve as the principal of Shugart Elementary School. I am deeply committed to our school community's mission of nurturing our children in a high-quality learning environment.
My journey in education began in my home country of Colombia, and I have been an educator since 1998. I find immense joy in being a principal, as it allows me to empower teachers as leaders while staying closely connected to the incredible learning and growth happening in our classrooms every day. I firmly believe that every child has the potential to excel, and that a strong partnership between home and school is essential in building the confidence students need to shape their own futures.

My name is Sahur Augsteen and I am honored to be a part of the Shugart family as your Assistant Principal. I'm grateful to work alongside such an amazing group of teachers and staff that are passionate and dedicated to helping all of our students succeed. I look forward to working with everyone here. l am excited about being able to serve our wonderful campus. Together, we will have an amazing year ahead!
