Congratulations to Shannon O'Valle. O'Valle was recently chosen as the Shugart Elementary Paraprofessional of the Year. She was chosen by her peers. Staff members regard O'Valle and a kind and dedicated staff member who is always willing to go the extra mile to help students and teachers. O'Valle has worked in all grade levels with a special focus on helping our fifth grade team. The following is what coworkers say about O'Valle: "When fifth grade needed help, O'Valle stepped right up to fill that need. She studied and stayed late to be prepared to teach the class she was filling in for. She embraced her time in 5th grade. She works hard each day to support every student at Shugart. She forms connections with the students and strives to offer encouragement to all who need it." She helps with PTA projects and works with our Garland After School Program. We appreciate all that O'Valle does, and we congratulate her for being chosen for this honor.
