Art all around us

Art is all around us - incorporated in things we see and do every day. Our students are being challenged to find how art is used outside of school. Students do not have to go to art shows or museums to see great examples. Students can see art everywhere like in grocery stores, at movies theaters, and even at restaurants. We want students to be aware of these examples and to keep track of them. From the designs on their clothes to the billboards they see, art is everywhere. Also, we encourage them to be creators of the art. In this photo, first grade students are making their own bookmarks.
