A message from our librarian

Hello Eagle readers!  This will be my 11th year in Garland ISD and my 2nd as an Eagle.  My goal is to help students develop a lifelong love for reading.  I am a huge advocate for technology, especially coding/computer programming.  I hope to share my passion with all of the children.

I strongly believe that it is very important for your child/children to read every night. As they come to the library each week and start bringing books home, please listen to them read or read to and with them. Also, please help your child remember to bring back their books each week so they can bring new ones home! I hope you and your child enjoy our library books.

Texas Bluebonnet Award

Only students in grades 3-5 participate in this reading program sponsored by the TLA. Students must read at least 5 books from a selected group of 20 in order to be eligible to vote at the end of January for their favorite. New titles for the current school year are now available.
