Steadham music program
Hello, my name is Guen Stone, and I have the privilege of teaching music to your promising children. During our weekly classes, I will be teaching musical and rhythmic concepts through singing, folk dances, and instruments. With music, I encourage students to channel their creativity, connect their emotions to what they learn, and incorporate elements from other curricular disciplines. I believe music education is crucial to a child's development and helps them reach their full potential both academically and artistically.
"... only the best is good enough for a child" -Zoltan Kodaly
Music class provides students with a fun and engaging way to explore rhythm, melody, and creativity. Through singing, playing instruments, and learning basic musical concepts, children develop important skills such as teamwork, listening, and self-expression. Music education also enhances cognitive development, improving memory, coordination, and even math and language skills. Whether students are clapping to a beat, learning simple songs, or experimenting with different instruments, music class fosters a love for the arts and encourages confidence. By participating in musical activities, children gain an appreciation for different cultures and styles of music, making it a valuable part of their overall education.

Art on display
Art class is a vibrant and creative space where young students can express themselves through drawing, painting, sculpting, and other hands-on activities. It encourages imagination and problem-solving while helping children develop fine motor skills and an appreciation for different artistic styles and cultures. Art education also fosters confidence and individuality, allowing students to explore their creativity without the fear of making mistakes. Through guided projects and open-ended activities, children learn about colors, shapes, textures, and composition, all while having fun. By engaging in artistic expression, students build important cognitive and emotional skills that support their overall learning and development.
