Policies & procedures
Stephens Elementary does not have uniforms, however, we do follow the district guidelines. District Dress Code
When your child misses school for any reason they must bring a note from parent/legal guardian stating the reason why they were absent. Please make sure to add the date your child was absent along with their student ID number. If your child is absent for more than three days in a row they will need to have a doctor's note.
Please remember that no student can miss more than 18 days in one school year.
Birthdays and celebrations
Per state regulations, cupcakes or any food given to all students will not be allowing during lunch times.
Please help our campus preserve the instructional time each day. We need to remind everyone that birthday celebrations only occur at the end of the day. You may bring cupcakes only. Please do not bring pizza, balloons, or other snacks. The office staff will deliver the cupcakes to the classroom around 3:05. We do not allow parents to enter classrooms during this vital time of our instructional day. Please keep in mind that all food items must be store bought and cannot be homemade. Please make sure you notify the teacher that you would like to bring birthday cupcakes.
We know how special it is for a student to have a special adult come up and eat lunch with them. However, we are unable to fulfill this request at this time due to Covid restrictions. Please call our front office if you need additional information regarding lunch with students.

Do you need to enroll your child, request a transfer, withdraw or request a transcript? It's easy to start common processes at home. Visit the Online Student Services page to get started.

Campus Improvement Plan
A Campus Improvement Plan serves as the blueprint for how a campus will address performance objectives and other campus needs that have been identified from a Campus Needs Assessment.
The Campus Parent Involvement Policy explains how our campus supports the important role of parents in the education of their children. We offer a Parent Compact to establish a partnership among parents, school staff, and students for improving student academic achievement.
To support our mission of providing an exceptional education to all students, we have created policies designed to help your student have the best possible education experience.
