Hello, Stephens Stars Families! My name is Emily Thompson, and I am looking forward to making music with your young musicians this year! I am a graduate of TCU and SMU, and this is my 6th year teaching music. At home, my husband and I have a 4-year-old son named Liam and a french bulldog named Uno. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and collecting vinyl records.

 

I look forward to building a strong musical foundation for each student I teach this year. My goal is to create a safe environment for all students to explore musical ideas that are new to them and create music and movement that expresses their heart and mind. Through singing, moving, and playing instruments, students will have many opportunities to expand their knowledge of music and gain experiences that can open the door for many opportunities in their educational journey moving forward.
