Salvador Reyes
Hello everyone,
I am Salvador Reyes, a product of Garland ISD. Before I began my teaching career in GISD, I attended TWU for my Bachelor's degree. I started my educational career at Pearson Elementary in Garland ISD. I served as an instructional aide, teacher and assistant principal at Pearson. While at Pearson, I attended Concordia University to pursue my Master's degree. I was also an assistant principal at Club Hill Elementary and Handley Elementary before transitioning to principal at Toler. I look forward to building on last year's success while working with students, parents and staff this school year.
Assistant Principal
Kimberly Murphy
Hello Texan Families,
My name is Kim Murphy, and I am honored to continue my role as the assistant principal of Toler Elementary. This will be my 10th year in Garland ISD, and I am so thankful to be a part of the Texan family. Prior to Toler, I was an Early Literacy Instructional Coach, Sheltered Instruction Lead Teacher, ESL Teacher, and classroom teacher before becoming an Assistant Principal. We take great pride in building relationships with students and families, setting high expectations that challenge all students to reach their highest potential, and guiding our students to become resilient and responsible citizens who are prepared for the future.
I graduated from UT Dallas where I was a member of the women's basketball team. I am married to my amazing husband, have a two-year-old daughter, and absolutely love being a wife and mommy. I enjoy spending time with my family, sneaking to the gym to play a fun game of dodge ball with our students, and can't pass up the opportunity to go to a good basketball game. My goal this school year is to ensure that every Texan who walks through our doors feels valued and supported. I am passionate about doing what is best for students and believe that every child deserves to have educators who give their all each and every day. I look forward to working with you as a team this school year!
