Academics
At Toler Elementary School, we are committed to providing a strong academic foundation for every student. Our instructional program focuses on high-quality, engaging lessons that support growth in reading, writing, math, and critical thinking skills. We use research-based strategies, data-driven instruction, and schoolwide routines to meet the needs of all learners and close learning gaps. Through a supportive and nurturing learning environment, we encourage curiosity, perseverance, and a love of learning that prepares our students for long-term success.
We are proud to share that Toler Elementary School earned a B rating from the state for the 2024–2025 school year, along with two state distinctions recognizing our commitment to student success. Toler was named in the Top 25% for Comparative Closing the Gaps and also received a distinction in Post-Secondary Readiness. These honors reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the support from our community. We remain committed to providing high-quality instruction, supporting every learner, and preparing our students for continued success now and in the future.
SAIL
Toler Elementary is proud to support literacy at home and school by being one of the GISD SAIL pilot campuses. SAIL, which stands for Sheltered Approach for Improved Literacy, is a program at our school that helps scholars build reading and language skills in a supportive and engaging way. Our campus provides engaging, interactive instruction designed to support academic growth and address learning gaps. Through schoolwide reading routines and literacy-rich environments, we foster a lifelong love of reading while maintaining a patient and supportive approach for all scholars.
