Say "boo" to the flu!
Flu season is here and we wanted to share some tips that may be helpful in keeping our Toler families healthy and safe.
Personal hygiene
- Wash your hands with soap and water often! Proper hand hygiene is the first step in preventing illnesses.
- Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, and nose.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow, not your hand.
Vaccination
- The flu vaccine is safe and effective.
- It may take up to two weeks from immunization to be fully protected from the flu.
Strengthen your immune system
- Drink plenty of water daily to stay hydrated.
- Eat a well balanced, nutritious diet to get important vitamins and minerals.
- Consider taking a daily multivitamin if needed.
- Aim for at least 8 hours of sleep per night.
- Exercise regularly.
