Toler to participate in American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge

Meet our very own heart hero, Zion!

During American Heart Association Month, we’re proud to recognize one of our very own students at Toler Elementary for being a true Heart Hero! Zion was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Stenosis as an infant and has undergone several cardiac procedures. Through learning about heart health, staying active, and encouraging others to make healthy choices, this student has shown leadership, compassion, and a big heart for helping others.

We’re so proud of our Heart Hero for supporting the American Heart Association and helping spread the message that healthy hearts matter at every age!

Toler Elementary Kids Heart Challenge will support the American Heart Association

Kids Heart Challenge kicks off on 2/9/2026.  This year’s Wellness Week is more than just fun; it’s our school’s service project in partnership with the American Heart Association.  Students will learn healthy habits including Hands-Only CPR and join the fight against heart diseases and stroke by raising donations and awareness.

Learn more on our school's AHA webpage or download the free AHA Schools App to sign-up and see updates all the way through.  This is where your family can complete Finn’s Mission, and you can also track our progress toward our goals and the rewards the kids love!

When the school hits its goal, every student that raises $25 or more or that completes Finn's Mission gets to SLIME the Nurse!!!  Every classroom that reaches 100% registration participation or has the highest percentage of registrants per grade earns a Pajama Party.  Every Teacher that reaches 100% registration participation or has the highest percentage of registrants per grade gets to wear Athleisure or Dress like the Coach for a Day!

Through this important program our school also earns equipment for PE or Recess and can apply for wellness grants!  Thank you for supporting our school and the American Heart Association in building a Nation of Lifesavers!
