Hello Viking Families!

I am your proud principal of the Classical Center at Vial Elementary. I am very excited about this school year because together, parents, teachers, and staff will support our students to reach their potential.

This school year will be my 17^th year in education. During this time, I have had the honor of serving as principal and assistant principal in the Garland community. This is my fifth year to serve as principal in Garland ISD. Prior to joining Garland ISD, I was a classroom teacher for 7 years. I attended The University of Texas at Arlington and earned both my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in May 2007 and my Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in December 2013.

My personal mission is to support and collaborate with staff so that we can all provide a high-quality education so that all students grow academically and emotionally.

Hello Vikings!

I am the assistant principal of the Classical Center at Vial Elementary. I'm really looking forward to this school year, as parents, teachers, staff and myself will be working together to help our students achieve their full potential.

I have been in the education field for 19+ years. I enjoy working with kids, instilling their curiosity, unlocking their potential to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens, and have FUN in the process. I have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua, a master’s of science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and a master’s in Educational Administration from Texas A&M College Station.

I truly believe that the relationship between school and family can significantly enhance a child's educational experience and overall development.
