Any student that is absent from school needs to bring an absent note from a doctor or a parent/guardian when they return to school. The note needs to state the child's name and i.d. number, the date of the absence, the teacher's name, and the reason the absence occurred.

If a student has three or more consecutive absences, for an illness, they must have a doctor's note upon returning to school for the absence to be excused.

After two unexcused absences, a warning letter will be sent to the parents.

A Campus Improvement Plan serves as the blueprint for how a campus will address performance objectives and other campus needs that have been identified from a Campus Needs Assessment.

New dismissal procedures

Car riders and walkers

Classical Center at Vial Elementary has transitioned to PikMyKid. This app helps us provide our students with one of the safest dismissal processes. As a campus that has 24 buses, between 17-20 daycares, and over 200 kids that dismiss as porch or walkers, you can only imagine the many things that can go wrong. PikMyKid has changed the dynamics of our previous after school duties and all students are dismissed directly from their classrooms come rain, snow, or shine. Goodbye to all those office messages with last-minute changes. All dismissal arrangements are updated and tracked by this incredible program. Transportation changes

We understand that sometimes you need to change how your student is going to go home at the end of the school day. Please contact the school office by phone or email by 2 p.m. with these changes to ensure the message is relayed to the teacher and to our dismissal coordinators in an appropriate amount of time. Please know your child's teacher's name and the name of the daycare or bus number. This will help ensure that mistakes do not occur.

Safety is one of our top priorities. We would like to foster the safest environment for our parents and students who are dropped off and picked up by cars. A smooth dismissal procedure is a safe dismissal procedure.

Standardized Dress is a recognizable sign of student pride at the Classical Center. The school uniforms signal that all students belong to the same family of learners. There are several selections for the standardized dress and the students may select to wear any combination of the uniform. Students need a required uniform of navy pants and red polo shirt for field trips and other special occasions.
