Clubs, classes, extracurricular
WGA's BETA Club is an outstanding group of students who show leadership by organizing multiple projects, including our very first SOCKTOBER sock drive. These students planned out every detail and ended up collecting 1,189 pairs of socks. All of these socks were donated to The Giving Place, which uses them to help families from our community that face hardships.
A huge congrats to the BETA Club for leading the way into caring for those in need. Thank you to Mr Loaiza and our Counselor, Deborah Rivera, for being there every step of the way.
On Monday during our fall and spring sessions, Walnut Glen students are given the opportunity to sign up for classes after school beginning at 4:00 pm and ending at 5:00 pm. These classes are available to all students; however, there is a sign-up period each semester. Students may elect to stay for one or two days. A separate bus route is established for the students who qualify for bus transportation.
Some of the courses offered in the past are Chess, Broadcasting, Lego Robotics, Cooking, Coding, Sports/Fitness, Gardening, Rocket Building, Reading Club and more.
