Our Fifth Graders recently completed their first PBL entitled, "Your Island Awaits." They were given the opportunity to collaborate with their classmates to create the perfect island. They had to research their island location (Social Studies), find the average climate including precipitation in three of the spots closest to their island (Math), and write a persuasive essay encouraging their readers to visit their island (Writing). Our students absolutely loved this project, and our Fifth Grade team was amazing as well. Collaboration and research were key to a successful project! Check out their final product:
