Hi Weaver Family! It is my highest honor to lead our school. I grew up going to school in Garland and came right back after I finished college. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6, and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration, PK-12. I am thankful for the opportunity to give back to the community that gave so much to me during my younger years. This is my fourth year serving as Principal at Weaver. Prior to that, I served as the Assistant Principal at Weaver for two years. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade. I was also an Intervention Specialist for two years. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have four beautiful children who all attend GISD schools. We enjoy finding new restaurants and are active in our local church. We stay busy with baseball, rock climbing, basketball and gymnastics.

I love working with children to instill lifelong skills that will help them academically, socially, and emotionally. Building strong relationships with students, families, and community members is a core value to me and I am eager to serve our students and staff to continue the growth at Weaver.

I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Weaver and am excited to join such a wonderful school community. Growing up in a military family, I had the opportunity to live in many places before my family eventually settled in Texas. I earned my bachelor's degree in Special Education and my master's degree in Educational Administration. Before joining Weaver, I served as the ABC teacher and Special Education Department Chair at a GISD high school, and most recently completed a year as an administrative intern while preparing for my transition into the Assistant Principal role.

Education has always been my passion because I believe schools are more than just places of learning—they are places where students grow in confidence, character, and leadership. My goal is to help create a positive, supportive environment where every child feels safe, encouraged, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.

I am also a proud parent of twin daughters who will be entering fourth grade as part of the Weaver family. Outside of school, we enjoy spending time with our puppy, Charlie, baking, reading, getting creative with crafts, spending time with family, and movie nights. As both an educator and a parent, I understand the importance of building a school community where students feel supported, valued, and loved each day.

I look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff to celebrate successes, support student growth, and build meaningful relationships throughout the school year. I cannot wait to meet each of you and begin what I know will be an amazing journey together at Weaver.
