Arts

Art class

Weaver students are enjoying art class with Mrs. Blacker. They have created some great works of art this year! Their work has been showcased in our hallways where everyone can appreciate it.

Onomatopoeia art

4th & 5th graders watched some old school Batman movie clips and discussed how onomatopoeia is used in art. We the created our own comic-like expressions inspired by the Pop artist, Roy Lichtenstein.

Music Teacher - Ms. Weldon

Welcome to Music!

Twitter: @MsWeldonMusic

My name is Ms. Weldon, and I am the music teacher at Weaver Elementary School. This is my 9th year of teaching elementary music, and I could not be more excited to spend another year with the students and families at Weaver! In music, we will work hard to become musically literate through singing, moving, and playing instruments. Most importantly, we will foster a LOVE of music. In music, we agree to show respect and good manners at all times. We also agree to care for everyone and everything. Let’s work together to have a great year in music! We Sing! We Move! We Play!

Music classes

All students in Kindergarten through fifth grade attend General Music class at least once a week.  Ms. Weldon teaches musical concepts through singing, playing instruments, speech, movement, and exploration.  Students will learn how to read and perform music and connect music to other subjects and experiences.
