Webb parent newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians of Webb Middle School,

We warmly welcome all of our new and returning Webb Bears to the 2024-2025 school year! We are deeply committed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You can rest assured that your child's well-being is our top priority. To help you prepare for the start of the school year, please take note of the following important dates and information:

Back to School Forms & CEP Program:

●       If forms are completed online in Skyward & SchoolCafé before Tuesday, Aug. 6, Webb students can see their schedules as soon as we make them available.

●       Student Information Update forms for Back-to-School will be available online to parents in Skyward on July 22, 2024. The forms are located under the Student Information Update tab.

●       Garland ISD is required to collect and report each student's economic status to the Texas Education Agency for the annual state accountability ratings and federal reporting. This year, the student's economic status will be determined by the National School Lunch Program (NLSP) application or Income Verification form available on SchoolCafé. SchoolCafé is our meal management service, which allows families to view school menus and apply for Free or Reduced-Price Meals. This year, parents will continue to use SchoolCafé to provide income verification for students who attend our CEP campus.

●       The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program allows Webb to offer breakfast and lunch to all students at no charge.

●       Need help filling out the forms? Click here for directions.

○       Click here for the Dress Code, School Supply List, Drop-off and Pick-Up procedures, First-Day procedures, Vaccination records, etc.

On the first day of school, students should arrive on time, in dress code, ready to independently embark on an exciting year of learning and growth. Please ensure your child brings school supplies and all required health forms or documents required to attend school on the first day.

     ●            Parent Info Night (Meet the Teacher) & Annual Title I Parent Meeting
