This will be my 14th year in education, and fourth year at Williams Elementary. Before joining Garland ISD I was a bilingual teacher for 8 years and then a bilingual instructional coach for 2 years. Dr. Irving Glenn, Assistant Principal
Hello Williams Wranglers,
My name is Irv Glenn II, the Assistant Principal of Williams Elementary. I am excited to be a part of the Wrangler Family. My main goal as a campus administrator and educator is to ensure equitable outcomes for all our students.
My career began 11 years ago in Wake County, North Carolina as a 4th-grade teacher. Since then, I’ve taught middle and high school social studies. After teaching for six years, I became a school administrator. I’ve been a secondary and elementary assistant principal for the past five years. This year (2022-2023) marks my 12th year in this noble education profession.
I completed an associate’s degree in Teacher Education and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Mount Olive College and Fort Hays State University, respectively. For graduate school, I graduated from North Carolina State University with a master’s degree in Elementary Education and an Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership from Morehead State University. I earned my Doctorate of Education degree in Educational Leadership from East Tennessee State University in 2021.
I am here to support you, so please reach out with any questions or concerns that you may have. In the meantime, let’s “level up!”
Thank you!
