Administration
Principal: Krista McClure
Greetings, Williams Elementary School community! I am honored to be your Principal, Krista McClure. My journey in education spans 25 years, during which I have had the privilege of positively impacting students' lives and fostering educational excellence. My educational journey began at Stephen F. Austin University, where I laid the foundation for my career with a rigorous undergraduate education. Building on this foundation, I pursued my passion for educational leadership and counseling, earning a Master's degree from Prairie View A&M. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to the field of education, with 17 years spent within the Garland Independent School District. My experience in Garland ISD has shaped my understanding of our community's unique needs and aspirations, providing me with invaluable insights into how best to support our students, families, and educators.
Before joining Williams Elementary, I had the privilege of serving at Shorehaven, where I worked diligently to enhance student achievement and foster a culture of academic success. My leadership style is grounded in collaboration, innovation, and a deep commitment to creating a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. I am passionate about educational excellence and believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities. As Principal of Williams Elementary, I am dedicated to continuing our tradition of academic excellence, nurturing a positive school culture, and empowering our students to reach their full potential. I look forward to working closely with each of you—students, parents, staff, and community members—to build upon our successes and create a bright future for all our students at Williams Elementary School.
Assistant Principal: Ashley Arias
I am Ashley Arias, and I am thrilled to be serving as the new Assistant Principal at Williams Elementary School. My journey in education spans 14 fulfilling years, during which I have dedicated myself to fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment for students.
My educational foundation began at the University of Houston, where I earned my undergraduate degree. Motivated by a passion for leadership and educational excellence, I pursued and obtained a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.
My career in education has been diverse and rewarding. I started as a classroom teacher, where I had the privilege of shaping young minds and helping students discover their potential. Over the course of 10 years, I served as both a teacher and an interventionist, focusing on providing targeted support to students who needed it most. Additionally, I served as a community and parent instructor, bridging the gap between home and school to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
Transitioning into administration, I am now in my 4th year as an Assistant Principal, a role that allows me to continue my passion for student success from a leadership perspective. My tenure in education totals 14 years, and I am proud to say that 7 of those years have been spent contributing to the vibrant community of Garland ISD.
My approach to educational leadership is rooted in collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to fostering a nurturing environment where every student can thrive. I believe in the power of education to transform lives and am dedicated to supporting both students and educators in reaching their highest potential.
