Meet Coach Thompson

PE Coach

Coach Thompson is a first-year Physical Education teacher who is passionate about helping students stay active and healthy while having fun. A proud product of GISD schools, he played football in both high school and college. Outside the gym, he enjoys fishing, playing basketball, working out, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

In the gym, safety comes first—students must wear closed-toe sneakers for all activities. This year, Coach Thompson is excited to guide students in learning how to take care of their bodies and build lifelong healthy habits.

Heart health awareness

At Williams, we promote heart awareness to our students by educating them on the benefits of healthy eating and exercise.

Tips for parents

Please make sure your student(s) get at least 30-45 minutes of exercise each day. This could include soccer, bicycling, swimming, walking, jump roping, etc.
